Rat lens aldose reductase inhibitory constituents of Nelumbo nucifera stamens
The methanol extract of the stamens of Nelumbo nucifera Gaertn was shown to exert an inhibitory effect on rat lens aldose reductase (RLAR), and thus was fractionated using several organic solvents, including dichloromethane, ethyl acetate and n‐butanol.

The results of the study show that the degree of fruit ripening of Rubus coreanus affects the production of inflammatory mediators such as NO, PGE2 and inflammatory cytokines.

The inhibitory effects of all the isolated compounds on aldose reductase were evaluated in vitro and daidzein, puerol A, and paratensein-7-O-glucoside exhibited potent inhibitories effects, with IC50 values of 3.2, 6.4, and 1.9 μM.
