The methanol extract of the stamens of Nelumbo nucifera Gaertn was shown to exert an inhibitory effect on rat lens aldose reductase (RLAR), and thus was fractionated using several organic solvents, including dichloromethane, ethyl acetate and n‐butanol.
Anti‐tumour and immuno‐stimulating activities of the fruiting bodies of Paecilomyces japonica, a new type of Cordyceps spp.
The results suggest that the anti‐tumor activity of both fungi might be related to an immuno‐stimulating function.
Antiinflammatory activities of Rubus coreanus depend on the degree of fruit ripening

The results of the study show that the degree of fruit ripening of Rubus coreanus affects the production of inflammatory mediators such as NO, PGE2 and inflammatory cytokines.

The inhibitory effects of all the isolated compounds on aldose reductase were evaluated in vitro and daidzein, puerol A, and paratensein-7-O-glucoside exhibited potent inhibitories effects, with IC50 values of 3.2, 6.4, and 1.9 μM.
Composition of volatile compounds and in vitro antimicrobial activity of nine Mentha spp.
It is concluded that monoterpenoids are mainly rich in Mentha plants and most of extracts obtained from Mentha showed strong antimicrobial activity against bacteria, and chocomint indicates the highest inhibition activity.
Inhibitory effects of furanocoumarins isolated from the roots of Angelica dahurica on prostaglandin E2 production.
It is suggested that the inhibitory effect of furanocoumarins on the LPS-induced PGE2 production is due to the inhibition of the expression of COX-2 and mPGES.
