- Haeyoung Jeong, Da-Eun Jeong, Soo-Keun Choi
- Biology, MedicineJournal of Bacteriology
- 18 July 2012
A novel halophilic Bacillus species isolated from a salted Thai food, produced antimicrobial compounds against plant pathogens and promoted plant growth by volatile emission and the genome sequence was determined to reveal the plant-beneficial effect at the genomic level.
Draft Genome Sequence of the Paenibacillus polymyxa Type Strain (ATCC 842T), a Plant Growth-Promoting Bacterium
- Haeyoung Jeong, Soo-Young Park, Jihyun F. Kim
- Biology, EngineeringJournal of Bacteriology
- 8 July 2011
The draft genome sequence of P. polymyxa ATCC 842(T), the type strain of the species P.polymyxa, and the family Paenibacillaceae is reported, which contains a repertoire of biosynthetic genes for antibiotics and hydrolytic enzymes that account for its beneficial effects in the rhizosphere to the host plants it associates with.
Global Functional Analysis of Butanol-Sensitive Escherichia coli and Its Evolved Butanol-Tolerant Strain.
- Haeyoung Jeong, Seung-won Lee, S. Kim, Eun-Youn Kim, Sinyeon Kim, S. Yoon
- Biology, EngineeringJournal of Microbiology and Biotechnology
- 28 June 2017
This study compared the transcriptome and phenome of wild-type Escherichia coli and its butanol-tolerant evolved strain to understand the global cellular physiology and metabolism responsible for butanol tolerance and provides a foundation for the rational design of the metabolic and regulatory pathways for enhanced biofuel production.
Changes in membrane fatty acid composition through proton-induced fabF mutation enhancing 1-butanol tolerance in E. coli
- Haeyoung Jeong, S. Kim, Sang-Soo Han, M. Kim, Keunmyoung Lee
- Biology
- 24 July 2012
It is proposed that fabF, as probably the gene most responsible for butanol tolerance in wild-type form, contributes further when converted into a F74C missense mutation, which is beneficial as it increases the level of cis-vaccenic acid.
Draft Genome Sequence of Paenibacillus peoriae Strain KCTC 3763T
- Haeyoung Jeong, S. Choi, Soo-Young Park, S. Kim, Seung-Hwan Park
- Biology, EngineeringJournal of Bacteriology
- 11 February 2012
The 5.77-Mb draft genome sequence of the P. peoriae type strain is presented with the aim of providing insight into the genomic basis of plant growth-promoting Paenibacillus species.
Draft Genome Sequence of Bacillus endophyticus 2102
- Yong-Jik Lee, Sang-Jae Lee, Dong-Woo Lee
- Engineering, BiologyJournal of Bacteriology
- 25 September 2012
The draft sequence of B. endophyticus 2102 is presented, which is of interest because of its potential use in the industrial production of algaecides and bioplastics and for the treatment of industrial textile effluents.
