Clearance of IgE from serum of normal and hybridoma-bearing mice.

The results obtained with tumor-bearing mice indicate that the reported failure to elicit an IgE response to an antigen in mice bearing IgE-secreting hybridomas cannot be attributed to rapid clearance of newly synthesized IgE in such mice, as compared with normal mice.
Three-dimensional structure of Fab R19.9, a monoclonal murine antibody specific for the p-azobenzenearsonate group.

- BiologyProceedings of the National Academy of Sciences…
- 1989
The crystal structure of Fab R19.9, derived from an anti-p-azobenzenearsonate monoclonal antibody, has been determined and refined to 2.8-A resolution by x-ray crystallographic techniques. Monoclonal…
Effects of syngeneic anti-IgE antibodies on the development of IgE memory and on the secondary IgE response.
- S. Haba, A. Nisonoff
- Biology, MedicineJournal of Immunology

The failure of anti-IgE to prevent the induction of IgE memory cells is discussed in terms of class switches that occur during the transition from IgM to IgE production.
Inhibition of IgE synthesis by anti-IgE: role in long-term inhibition of IgE synthesis by neonatally administered soluble IgE.

- Biology, MedicineProceedings of the National Academy of Sciences…
- 1 May 1990
Inoculation of syngeneic IgE into 2- to 12-day-old mice results in prolonged synthesis of anti-IgE antibodies without further challenge. These anti-IgE antibodies may be largely responsible for the…
Quantitation of IgE antibodies by radioimmunoassay in the presence of high concentrations of non-IgE antibodies of the same specificity.

Induction of high titers of anti-IgE by immunization of inbred mice with syngeneic IgE.

- Biology, MedicineProceedings of the National Academy of Sciences…
- 1 July 1987
High titers (up to 1 mg/ml) of antibodies to isotypic determinants of IgE are generated by immunization of A/J mice with syngeneic monoclonal IgE conjugated to keyhole limpet hemocyanin, and these antibodies are of moderately high affinity.
Relationship of VH and VL genes encoding three idiotypic families of anti-p-azobenzenearsonate antibodies.

We describe here an intrastrain, cross-reactive idiotype (CRI), CRID, associated with anti-p-azobenzenearsonate antibodies of the A/J strain of mouse and distinguishable, by some but not by all of…
Immunological responsiveness of neonatal A/J mice to isotypic determinants of syngeneic IgE
- S. Haba, A. Nisonoff
- BiologyJournal of Experimental Medicine
- 1 August 1988
It is shown that neonatal mice produce anti-IgE antibodies in response to unconjugated IgE in CFA, but that this capacity is lost after the age of 2-3 wk, suggesting that the IgE may induce tolerance.
Role of antibody and T cells in the long-term inhibition of IgE synthesis.

- Biology, MedicineProceedings of the National Academy of Sciences…
- 18 January 1994
It was found that spleen cells from IgE-suppressed mice (synthesizing anti-IgE antibodies) could adoptively transfer the state of inhibition to syngeneic adult mice and that T cells do not play a role other than that of providing help to B cells for anti- IgE synthesis.
