Range-chart-guided iterative data-flow graph scheduling
TLDR
Two polynomial-time heuristics are introduced: fixed-rate (rate-optimal as a special case) scheduling where the number of hardware resources is optimized at the same time that a specific iteration period is guaranteed, and maximum-throughput scheduling with limited resources where the iteration period are optimized for a fixed number of processors.
Research Issues in Ad-Hoc Distributed Personal Networking
TLDR
It is shown that PNs introduce new design challenges due to the heterogeneity of the involved technologies, the need for self-organization, the dynamics of the system composition, the application-driven nature, the co-operation with infrastructure-based networks, and the security hazards.
From Personal Area Networks to Personal Networks: A User Oriented Approach
TLDR
The architecture of PNs, techniques for resource and environment discovery, self-organisation, routing, co-operation with fixed infrastructures, and security and accounting are addressed.
Enhanced C-V2X Mode-4 Subchannel Selection
TLDR
A nonlinear power averaging phase, where the most up-to-date measurements are assigned higher priority via exponential weighting is proposed, and it is shown through simulations that the overall system performance can be leveraged in both urban and freeway scenarios.
Data Rate based Congestion Control in V2V communication for traffic safety applications
TLDR
This paper analyzes a congestion control scheme that follows the Decentralized Congestion Control framework known as Data Rate-D CC (DR-DCC) for various traffic densities, which outperforms at various traffic density cases providing better support to safety applications.
Fair decentralized data-rate congestion control for V2V communications
TLDR
A novel packet-count based decentralized data-rate congestion control algorithm (PDR-DCC) is defined, which enforces fairness and hence improves the application-reliability and compares the performance of PDR-D CC with message-rate (LIMERIC) and data- rate (DR) congestion control algorithms for a stationary vehicle warning application and for various vehicular densities.
A Network Architecture for Personal Networks
TLDR
This paper introduces a network architecture for PNs that can handle the dynamic and demanding situation a PN is facing and discusses some related network layer concepts, issues and possible solutions.
Reputation-Based Systems within Computer Networks
TLDR
This survey paper discusses the various ways the systems can benefit from using reputation information, and lists minimum requirements for benefiting from reputation-based systems in computer networks.
FEDNETS: Context-Aware Ad-Hoc Network Federations
TLDR
This paper discusses the concept of fednets by focusing on fednets formed by personal networks (PN), which are person-centric networks connecting personal devices and artefacts regardless of geographical location.
