Context aware and channel-based resource allocation for wireless body area networks
The authors improve the performance of the medium access control (MAC) protocol of WBANs using an adaptive resource allocation and traffic prioritisation according to the medical situation of user and channel condition and results show that the proposed MAC protocol outperforms IEEE 802.15.4 and IEEE 802-15.6 MAC protocols.
Ethnic and Geographic Differentiation of Helicobacter pylori within Iran
Genetic affinities between H. pylori isolated from particular Iranian populations and strains from Turks, Uzbeks, Palestinians and Israelis are found, reflecting documented historical contacts over the past two thousand years.

Two NR machine learning-based quality estimation models for gaming video streaming, NR-GVSQI, and NR-gVSQE, are presented and it is shown that the proposed models outperform the current state-of-the-art no-reference metrics, while also reaching a prediction accuracy comparable to the best known full reference metric.
Mutability Dynamics of an Emergent Single Stranded DNA Virus in a Naïve Host
The findings suggest that the high degree of genetic variation within the beak and feather disease virus species as a whole is reflected in evolutionary dynamics within individually infected birds as quasispecies variation, particularly when BFDV jumps from one host species to another.
EVIDENCE OF PSITTACINE BEAK AND FEATHER DISEASE VIRUS SPILLOVER INTO WILD CRITICALLY ENDANGERED ORANGE-BELLIED PARROTS (NEOPHEMA CHRYSOGASTER)
The detection of two distinct lineages of BFDV in the remnant wild population of Orange-bellied Parrots, consisting of fewer than 50 birds, suggests a role for other parrot species as a reservoir for infection by spillover into this critically endangered species.
Phylogeny of beak and feather disease virus in cockatoos demonstrates host generalism and multiple-variant infections within Psittaciformes.

This paper jointly design the transmit waveform and receive filter by a sequential algorithm, considering a priori information of target and interference angle locations, and achieves better signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio performance compared with the existing active sensing array methods.
New algorithm for joint subchannel and power allocation in multi-cell OFDMA-based cognitive radio networks
The proposed scheme provides significant improvement over the traditional fixed subchannel allocation scheme in terms of spectral efficiency and it has been shown that the proposed water-filling policy loads more power into secondary user's band compared with an equal power allocation policy in order to achieve higher throughput.
Differentiation of Mycoplasma gallisepticum strains using PCR and high-resolution melting curve analysis.
The results presented in this study indicate that PCR followed by HRM curve analysis provides a rapid and robust technique for genotyping of MG isolates/strains using both MG cultures and clinical swabs.
