The toxicity of Aplidine in human hematopoietic progenitors was lower than that observed in previous studies with tumoral cell lines, and data obtained from cord blood cultures confirmed the observation made in bone marrow assays indicating that the myeloid (CFU-GM) and the erythroid (BFU-E) progenitor were the least sensitive to APLidine.
