In this review, the published clinical trials investigating curcumin and resveratrol in the prevention or treatment of cognitive disorders are analyzed and the results are disappointing and do not allow to draw conclusions about the therapeutic or neuroprotective potential of these compounds.

The results suggest the DR2B and DR2C extract as a promising new anti-HSV-1 agent, which partly counteracted the tBOOH-induced cytotoxicity, with a remarkable lowering of lactate metabolism under both normoxia and hypoxia.
