- EducationMedical Teacher
- 1 January 2008
Feelings of mistreatment among university students is strong while their trust of the university grading system is low, which suggests that perceived mistreatment and an unfair grading system may be a major source of stress among students and may affect the process of teaching and learning in Jordan.
Circle of Willis in adults.
- S. Al-hussain, A. Shoter, Z. M. Bataina
- MedicineNeurosciences
- 1 October 2001
The variations of the Circle of Willis are very common and they may have important influence on the manifestations and treatment of some diseases that are caused by obstruction of one of the arteries that supply the brain.
An ultrastructural study of the phagocytic activity of astrocytes in adult rat brain.
- S. Al‐ali, S. Al-hussain
- BiologyJournal of Anatomy
- 1 April 1996
It is demonstrated that adult astrocytes are involved in phagocytosis, but only as a second line of defence.
The pinealocytes of the human pineal gland: A light and electron microscopic study.
- S. Al-hussain
- BiologyFolia Morphologica
- 8 June 2006
The pinealocytes of the pineal gland of children and adults were studied at both light and electron microscopic levels and a very small cell type with an extremely thin and elongated cell body and nucleus was found.
Morphological characteristics of different types of neurons in the ventrooralis anterior, ventrooralis internus, and ventrooralis posterior nuclei in the human thalamus
- S. Al-hussain
- BiologyCellular and molecular neurobiology
- 1 June 1992
Golgi-Kopsch preparations of the oral ventral nuclei of human thalamus were analyzed in an attempt to classify the neuronal types, describing three types of neurons for the first time in humans.
Effects of orchids (Orchis anatolica) on reproductive function and fertility in adult male mice
- N. Khouri, M. Nawasreh, S. Al-hussain, A. Alkofahi
- Biology, MedicineReproductive Medicine and Biology
- 1 December 2006
An important finding was that the ingestion of the orchid diet by male mice increased their fertility, indicated by an elevation in the number of impregnated females when allowed to mate with treated mice, and an increase in the impregnation sites.
A golgi study of cell types in the dentate gyrus of the adult human brain
- S. Al-hussain, S. Al‐ali
- BiologyCellular and molecular neurobiology
- 1 April 1995
The morphology of neurons in the dentate gyrus of the adult human brain was analyzed with two variants of Golgi technique and opens the door for further morphological studies involving specific diseases such as Alzheimer's disease and epilepsy.
Morphological and Quantitative Study of Neurons in the Gracile Nucleus of the Camel Brain Stem
- S. Al-hussain, Raith A. Al‐saffar, Sami Zaqout
- Biology
- 29 February 2012
The role of the gracile nucleus of the camel brain stem as major center for sensory information processing is improved and the understanding of comparative neuroanatomy and neurophysiology is improved.
A Golgi Study of the Camel Cuneate Nucleus
- Sami Zaqout, S. Al-hussain, Raith A. Al‐saffar, Q. El-Dwairi
- BiologyThe Anatomical Record
- 1 December 2012
Findings shed some light on the structure of the cuneate nucleus of one of the largest animals (the camel) and six types of neurons were identified based on soma size and shape, density of dendritic trees, morphology and distribution of spines, and appendages.
Morphology of neurons in the anterior hypothalamic area and supraoptic hypothalamic nucleus of the adult human brain
- S. Al-hussain, R. Al-Jomard
- Biology, MedicineThe Italian journal of neurological sciences…
- 1 August 1996
Morphological features of neuronal cell types in the anterior hypothalamic area (AHA) and supraoptic hypothalamic nucleus (SON) of the adult human brain were analysed in Golgi impregnated…
