We discuss the importance of high-pT hadron and jet measurements in nucleusnucleus collisions at the LHC.
HYDJET++ is a Monte-Carlo event generator for simulation of relativistic heavy ion AA collisions considered as a superposition of the soft, hydro-type state and the hard state resulting from multi-parton fragmentation. This model is the development and continuation of HYDJET event generator (Lokhtin & Snigirev, 2006, EPJC, 45, 211). The main program is… (More)
The jet reconstruction algorithms and calibration techniques implemented in the CMS reconstruction software are studied with high-statistics Monte Carlo samples of QCD dijet events. Generated events are passed through a full detector-level simulation of the CMS detector including readout digitization in the presence of pile-up at an instantaneous luminosity… (More)
We present an overview of collective flow phenomena and dihadron correlations measurements from the CMS experiment at the LHC. Fourier components of the anisotropic azimuthal distribution, ranging from the second to the sixth component, are obtained using different analysis techniques, which have different sensitivities to non-flow and flow fluctuation… (More)

We analyze the azimuthal anisotropy of jet spectra due to energy loss of hard partons in quarkgluon plasma, created initially in nuclear overlap zone in collisions with non-zero impact parameter. The calculations are performed for semi-central Pb−Pb collisions at LHC energy.
The jet shape modification due to partonic energy loss in the dense QCD matter is investigated by the help of the special transverse energy-energy correlator in the vicinity of maximum energy deposition of every event. In the accepted scenario with scattering of jet hard partons off comoving medium constituents this correlator is independent of the… (More)
