Cytochemical data are available on peripheral blood neutrophils from 16 babies suffering from prenatal dystrophy and hypoxic or traumatic encephalopathy. Combined treatment with protein enpit and retabolil was conducted in infants with prenatal hypotrophy and encephalopathy (42 infants). The combined treatment led to a rise in the mean daily increase in body mass, length. Positive dynamics of the physical development lasted during 3 months after the combined treatment was finished.
Disordered growth of the bones by length was found in infants with chronic disorders of nutrition and perinatal encephalopathy. Roentgenogrammetry helped make a more objective assessment of bone changes as against visual methods. The authors distinguish the x-ray characteristics most typical of such patients.
