STARFISH AUVs (Autonomous Underwater Vehicles) are a group of open architecture vehicles with high degree of modularity and well defined mechanical, electrical, and software interfaces. This enables the baseline AUV configuration to be simple and low in cost, while allowing its capabilities to be extended with various specialized modules depending on the(More)
Transcoronary chemical ablation of ventricular tachycardia was recently performed in one patient with refractory ventricular tachycardia in our hospital. The procedure was successful. The arrhythmia was cured and no recurrence occurred in a 24-month period. The clinical application and mechanism of transcoronary chemical ablation were discussed.

OBJECTIVE To examine the effect of different concentrations of aristolochic acid I (AAI) in inducing apoptosis of cultured porcine renal cell line LLC-PK1 and to investigate the relationship between intracellular free calcium concentration ([Ca++]i) and LLC-PK1 apoptosis induced by AAI and the influence of a calcium antagonist, lacidipine on apoptosis and(More)
BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE Store-operated calcium (SOC) channels are thought to play a critical role in immune responses, inflammatory diseases and chronic pain. The aim of this study was to explore the potential role and mechanisms of SOC channels in collagen-induced arthritis (CIA). EXPERIMENTAL APPROACH The CIA mouse model was used to examine the effects(More)
BACKGROUND AND STUDY AIMS The rates for endoscopic detection of pancreas divisum at routine endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) vary worldwide, and the sample sizes in the reported studies on endoscopy and surgery for pancreas divisum are very small and variable. The aim of this study was to systematically analyze the pooled data and(More)
Recently we showed that the transcription activator AtMYB44 regulates expression of EIN2, a gene essential for ethylene signalling and insect resistance, in Arabidopsis thaliana (Arabidopsis). To link the transactivation with insect resistance, we investigated the wild-type and atmyb44 mutant plants, genetically Complemented atmyb44 (Catmyb44) and(More)
OBJECTIVE To observe the effects of Tongxinluo capsule (TXLC) in treating angina pectoris (AP) caused by coronary heart disease (CHD) and evaluate its safety. BACKGROUND Reports from Japan suggest effective myocardial infarction (MI) treatment in Asian patients with much lower doses of tissue plasminogen activators (tPA) than used in European and American regimens. Because increasing doses of fibrinolytics lead to increased bleeding complications, identification of patients who respond to reduced doses is of(More)
