The effects of estradiol (E2) and progesterone on rat uterine RNase inhibitor activity were investigated. RNase inhibitor activity was found to be most prominent in nuclear and cytosolic fractions of the uterus. Uterine RNase inhibitor activity in the 45,000 x g cytosolic fraction was stimulated by E2 over a 6-24 hr treatment period. Progesterone did not(More)
This paper addresses the vulnerability that was present in Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) web server software and the worm, Code Red, which exploited this vulnerability. It describes the mechanisms of three different versions of Code Red, as well as the patches and methods for stopping the worm. Finally, it discusses the effects of the worm,(More)
The in vitro nucleoside incorporation and methylation of uterine RNA was examined by incubating immature rat uteri with either 3H-uridine, 3H-uridine-3H-cytidine, and/or 14C-methyl-methionine. Radioactivity was determined in extracted RNA which was fractionated by gel electrophoresis or by differential solubility in zine acetate or lithium chloride.(More)
