—We show that representation of DNA sequences by means of Iterated Function Systems (IFS) can be used as a fast and useful 2D visualization tool for bioinformatics analysis and comparison of genomic data. The methods could be applied to any long symbolic sequences as well, with potential for fast searching as well.
