The antenna of Rhodischnura nursei and Lestes elatus revealed the presence of various mechanoand chemosensory sensilla, which may play a decisive role in olfaction, ability to perceive temperature, humidity or air speed that has been discussed.
Sex Specificity of Antennal Sensilla in Eri Silkworm Philosamia ricini
The antennae of both sexes of eri silk moth Philosamia ricini were examined using scanning electron microscopy and different types of sensilla are present on the scape, pedicel and flagellum functioning as a sensory perception.
