In conclusion, ionomycin was shown to be an effective ionophore for Ca2+ in rat liver mitochondria and mediated an efflux of K+ provided that the mitochondria were depleted of their endogenous divalent metal ions.

4-BrA23187 is highly selective for the transport of Zn2+ and Mn2+, compared to Ca2+, with selectivity ratios approaching that of valinomycin for K+ over Na+ when conditions are optimal.

N2 fixation by soybean-Bradyrhizobium combinations under acidity, low P and high Al stresses
The strains found to be more tolerant to the stresses were more effective N2 fixers in symbiosis with all soybean cultivars, with USDA 110 being definitely superior.
