The existence of a calcium-dependent presynaptic mechanism for the generation of cGMP which may be mediated by an alpha-adrenergic-like receptor is demonstrated and the mechanisms regulating pineal cG MP appear to be physiologically distinct from those regulating cAMP.
Effects of uridine and thymidine on the degradation of 5-fluorouracil, uracil, and thymine by rat liver dihydropyrimidine dehydrogenase.
This paper provides the first documentation of in vitro inhibition of dihydropyrimidine dehydrogenase activity by nucleosides, and it is suggested that the concomitant utilization of uridine and 5-FU in clinical situations might prove useful by decreasing 5-fu catabolism to toxic metabolites as well as enhancing5-FU cytotoxicity.

Comparison of the bioavailability of 250 and 500 mg divalproex sodium extended-release tablets in healthy volunteers.
The test 250 mg divalproex-ER formulation was bioequivalent to the reference 500 mg tablet formulation, under both fasting and nonfasting conditions, as the 90% confidence intervals for both C(max) and AUC(infinity) were within the 0.25 interval.
Clinical Response of Hypertensive Children to Long‐Term Minoxidil Therapy
The long-term effects of minoxidil were evaluated in 11 hypertensive children whose systolic and diastolic blood pressures were greater than the 99th percentile for age-matched normals, despite their use of at lest three other antihypertensive drugs.
