The stability properties of the Einstein static solution of general relativity are altered when corrective terms arising from modification of the underlying gravitational theory appear in the…
Comparison of 1H-NMR spectra by normalisation algorithms for studying amyloid toxicity in cells
This work shows how 1H-NMR cell spectral analysis methods can prove to be very effective tools to clear the PFAs amyloid cytotoxicity mechanisms, and normalising a set of different data spectra with the new PRICONA algorithm, thus contributing to strengthen the general framework of metabolites and proteins involved in cellular amyloids toxicity.

In this paper we present the scientific data recorded by tunable mechanical monolithic horizontal seismometers located in the Gran Sasso National Laboratory of the INFN, within thermally insulating…
The phase transition method for SAR measurement in MRI
- R. Romano, R. Canonico, F. Acernese, G. Giordano, F. Barone
- EngineeringSmart Structures
- 25 March 2010
The phase transition method is a new method to measure SAR in MRI which has the advantages to be very simple and to overcome all the typical calorimetric method problems, but in order to consider this method it is necessary to verify that all deposited SAR power can be considered acquired and measured.
Mechanical monolithic tiltmeter for low frequency measurements
- F. Acernese, R. Canonico, R. De Rosa, G. Giordano, R. Romano, F. Barone
- Physics, GeologyRemote Sensing
- 25 October 2012
The paper describes a tilt meter sensor for geophysical applications, based on Folded Pendulum (FP) mechanical sensor. Both the theoretical model and the experimental results of a tunable mechanical…
