Decision-making in a fuzzy environment
A reverse-flow technique is described for the solution of a functional equation arising in connection with a decision process in which the termination time is defined implicitly by the condition that the process stops when the system under control enters a specified set of states in its state space.
A Markovian Decision Process
Abstract : The purpose of this paper is to discuss the asymptotic behavior of the sequence (f sub n(i)) generated by a nonlinear recurrence relation. This problem arises in connection with an
Dynamic Programming
The more the authors study the information processing aspects of the mind, the more perplexed and impressed they become, and it will be a very long time before they understand these processes sufficiently to reproduce them.

This paper is the text of an invited address before the annual summer meeting of the American Mathematical Society at Laramie, Wyoming, September 2, 1954, of an expository nature on the theory of dynamic programming.
Given a set of N cities, with every two linked by a road, and the times required to traverse these roads, the functional equation technique of dynamic programming and approximation in policy space yield an iterative algorithm which converges after at most (N-1) iterations.
Introduction to Matrix Analysis
This book discusses Maximization, Minimization, and Motivation, which is concerned with the optimization of Symmetric Matrices, and its applications in Programming and Mathematical Economics.
