We present a control plane architecture to enable software-addressable optical acceleration from the application layer. The architecture is experimentally examined on a cluster-computing test-bed by enabling physical layer optical multicasting on-demand for the application layer to achieve non-blocking performance. Introduction With the growing interest in… (More)
In this paper, we describe recent architectural and technological advances of the end to end optical network architecture proposed by the DISCUS project (the DIStributed Core for unlimited bandwidth supply for all Users and Services). The two main targets of DISCUS are the principle of equivalence in the access and the reduction of optical-to-electronic… (More)
We describe in this paper the design and implementation of a distributed chat system using DHT overlay networks for routing of messages. Our chat system is censorship-resistant and, being based on DHT, routes messages efficiently. In addition shows two methods for doing search in DHT.
