- Xiaojian Sun, J. Wei, Zhu Chen
- BiologyJournal of Biological Chemistry
- 21 October 2005
The results suggest that HYPB HMTase may coordinate histone methylation and transcriptional regulation in mammals and open perspective for the further study of the potential roles of HYPB protein in hematopoiesis and pathogenesis of HD.

- Ze-Guang Han, Qing-hua Zhang, Zhu Chen
- BiologyJournal of Biological Chemistry
- 10 December 1999
To clone zinc finger genes expressed in hematopoietic system, we designed primers based on conserved Cys2/His2 zinc finger sequences to amplify corresponding domains from mRNA of normal bone marrow…
Systems analysis of transcriptome and proteome in retinoic acid/arsenic trioxide-induced cell differentiation/apoptosis of promyelocytic leukemia.
- Pei-zheng Zheng, Kan-kan Wang, Ji Zhang
- BiologyProceedings of the National Academy of Sciences…
- 24 May 2005
This investigation has provided not only a detailed understanding of the combined therapeutic effects of RA/ATO in APL but also a road map to approach hematopoietic malignancies at the systems level.
The H-Invitational Database (H-InvDB), a comprehensive annotation resource for human genes and transcripts*
- Chisato Yamasaki, K. Murakami, T. Gojobori
- BiologyNucleic Acids Res.
- 18 December 2007
H-Inv DB, originally developed as an integrated database of the human transcriptome based on extensive annotation of large sets of full-length cDNA (FLcDNA) clones, now provides annotation for 120 558 human mRNAs extracted from the International Nucleotide Sequence Databases (INSD), in addition to 54 978 human FLcDNAs, in the latest release H-InvDB_4.6.
Coordination of intrinsic, extrinsic, and endoplasmic reticulum-mediated apoptosis by imatinib mesylate combined with arsenic trioxide in chronic myeloid leukemia.
- Yanzhi Du, Kankan Wang, Ji Zhang
- Biology, ChemistryBlood
- 16 November 2005
The combination of the 2 agents seems to more effectively induce the intrinsic, extrinsic, and ER stress-mediated pathways of cell apoptosis, which results in a more effective and efficient induction of programmed cell death in K562 cells.

- Qing-hua Zhang, M. Ye, Zhu Chen
- Biology
- 2000
This book aims to provide a history of Hematology and Cell Biology in China from the 1950s to the present day through the researches of the 1980s and 1990s.
Functional contribution of EEN to leukemogenic transformation by MLL-EEN fusion protein
- Han Liu, Bing Chen, Saijuan Chen
- Biology, MedicineOncogene
- 12 April 2004
The EEN (extra eleven nineteen) gene was originally cloned from a case of acute myeloid leukemia M5 subtype with translocation t (11; 19)(q23; p13), in which EEN was fused with MLL, and MLL-EEN exerted a dominant-negative effect over wild-type EEN in terms of subcellular localization.
Aberrant transcriptional regulation of the MLL fusion partner EEN by AML1-ETO and its implication in leukemogenesis.
- Li-heng Ma, Han Liu, Saijuan Chen
- BiologyBlood
- 16 November 2006
It is demonstrated that EEN might be a common target in 2 major types of AML associated with MLL or AML1 translocations, and overexpression of EEN may play an essential role in leukemogenesis.
A Pipeline with Multiplex Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction and Microarray for Screening of Chromosomal Translocations in Leukemia
- Fei-fei Xiong, Ben-shang Li, Chun-xiu Zhang, H. Xiong, S. Shen, Qing-hua Zhang
- BiologyBioMed Research International
- 8 October 2013
The data suggested that the RT-PCR-microarray pipeline could screen 15 partner gene pairs simultaneously at the same accuracy of the fusion gene detection with regular RT- PCR, and the pipeline showed effectiveness in multiple fusion genes screening in clinic samples.
Application of radiation hybrid in gene mapping
- K. He, Baiwei Gu, Saijuan Chen
- BiologyScience in China Series C: Life Sciences
- 1 December 1998
Radiation hybrid (RH) mapping technique was exploited to determine chromosome locations of 26 human novel full length cDNAs recently cloned and 23 genes were successfully mapped to chromosomal positions, while RH analyses were not possible in the remaining 3 cases.
