Overexpression of SOS (Salt Overly Sensitive) genes increases salt tolerance in transgenic Arabidopsis.
It is found that transgenic plants overexpressing SOS3 exhibit increased salt tolerance similar to plants overextending SOS1, and salt tolerance of transgenic Plants overex Pressing AtNHX1+SOS3, SOS2+S OS3, or SOS1-SOS2-Sos3, respectively, appeared similar to theolerance of transgenetically overexpressed either SOS1 or SOS3 alone. Numerical results on standard benchmarks show that I-CASH reduces the average I/O response time by an order of magnitude compared to existing disk I/ O architectures such as RAID and SSD/HDD storage hierarchy, and provides up to 2.8 speedup over state-of-the-art pure SSD storage. Expand
