The present investigation revealed the multifarious uses of macrophytes in a fresh-water lentic water body at Muchipara in Durgapur, West Bengal, India, viz., as a source of medicines, foods, fodder, soil binder, biofertilizers and other uses.
Moult-related Fluctuation in Ecdysteroid Titre and Spermatogenesis in the Crab, Metopograpsus messor (Brachyura: Decapoda)
Examination of the interrelation between growth and reproduction in males of the brachyuran crab, Metopograpsus messor reveals that at least a low level of ecdysteroid is present during the intermoult stage, when spermatogenesis occurs normally.
