New Cytotoxic Oxygenated Sterols from the Marine Bryozoan Cryptosula pallasiana
Six new sterols were isolated from the CCl4 extract of the marine bryozoan Cryptosula pallasiana, and this is the first time that these compounds (3-6) are reported as natural sterols. Expand
Homoflavonoid glucosides from Ophioglossum pedunculosum and their anti-HBV activity.
Seven new homoflavonoid glucosides, pedunculosumosides A-G (1-7), exhibit modest activity of blocking HBsAg secretion with IC(50) values of 238.0 and 70.5 μM, respectively. Expand
Targeting EGFR‐mediated autophagy as a potential strategy for cancer therapy
The cross‐talk between this EGFR‐mediated autophagy and apoptosis is examined as well as how this process is currently being utilized for cancer treatment and it is suggested promotingAutophagy‐related cell death by small molecules may be exploited to design better therapeutic strategies for early stage and locally advanced tumors. Cytotoxic triterpenoid saponins from the rhizomes of Anemone taipaiensis.
Six saponins, 1, 2, 4- 7, which possessed a free carboxylic group at C-28, exhibited significant cytotoxicity against human leukemia HL-60 cells and human hepatocellular carcinoma Hep-G2 cells with IC (50) values in the range of 1.31-10.12 µM. Expand
