OBJECTIVES The main objective is to create a knowledge-intensive coding support tool for the International Classification of Diseases (ICD10), which is based on formal representation of ICD10 categories. Beyond this task the resulting ontology could be reused in various ways. Decidability is an important issue for computer-assisted coding; consequently the(More)
One of the most important issues for Service Providers in Cloud Computing is delivering a good quality of service. This is achieved by means of the adaptation to a changing environment where different failures can occur during the execution of different services and tasks. Some of these failures can be predicted taking into account the information obtained(More)
The authors present a method to convert the FMA to a description logic-based representation in OWL. The concepts denoting anatomical structures are aligned to the DOLCE formal top-level ontology, and converted to a compact core ontology in the spirit of GALEN. The paper presents the identified problems in the FMA and the main aspects of the re-modelling.
This paper presents the discovery engine implemented for the INFRAWEBS project, which combines a traditional IR-based pre-filtering step and a logic-based matching implemented in Prolog. The logic-based step of discovery uses a novel technique based on Prolog-style unification of terms. This approach performs well in finding matches of intersection type,(More)
Discovering Web Services based on logical matching of capabilities is a new requirement for Semantic Web Services which cannot be solved with traditional information retrieval (IR) techniques. Building fast and precise logical discovery engines is an ongoing challenge of the Semantic Web community. This paper presents the discovery engine implemented for(More)
The license management is one of the main concerns when Independent Software Vendors (ISV) try to distribute their software in computing platforms such as Clouds. They want to be sure that customers use their software according to their license terms. The work presented in this paper tries to solve part of this problem extending a semantic resource(More)
