We demonstrate both experimentally and theoretically a new form of light storage based on Coherent Population Oscillations. It is shown to be phase preserving and robust to dephasing effects.
In this paper, we present our work on phase sensitive amplification performed in metastable helium at room temperature. The maximum obtainable gain is larger than 4.8 with a bandwidth of 100 kHz.
