A New Helmeted Frog (Anura: Calyptocephalellidae) from an Eocene Subtropical Lake in Northwestern Patagonia, Argentina
Eocene caldera-lake deposits from Río Pichileufú have yielded anuran remains in association with a taxonomically diverse flora that represent a new species that can be assigned to the extant genus Calyptocephalella on the basis of both cranial and postcranial traits.
The taxonomic placement of the Miocene Patagonian frog Wawelia gerholdi (Amphibia: Anura)
Wawelia is considered to be a junior synonym of Calyptocephalella, one of the oldest records known for this group of South American horned frogs, and provisionally considered as a species inquirenda included in this genus, pending a comprehensive revision of all available remains.
A Glimpse at the Ontogeny of the Fossil Neobatrachian Frog Calyptocephalella canqueli from the Deseadan (Oligocene) of Patagonia, Argentina
Two fossil tadpoles collected in the Deseadan levels (Oligocene) at the Scarritt Pocket locality of central Patagonia are studied herein to shed light on developmental mechanisms that might be involved in the evolution of the genus Callyptocephalella.
Anurans from the Candeleros Formation (?Cenomanian-Turonian) of west-central Argentina: new evidence for pipoid evolution
CALYPTOCEPHALELLA (ANURA, AUSTRALOBATRACHIA) REMAINS FROM THE RíO SANTA CRUZ (EARLY-MIDDLE MIOCENE, SANTA CRUZ FORMATION), SANTA CRUZ PROVINCE, ARGENTINA

Abstract. In this contribution, the first anuran fossils from classical Santacrucian localities of the Rio Santa Cruz are described. According to proportions and features recognized in the few skull…

Systematic status of the mid-Tertiary neobatrachian frog Calyptocephalella canqueli from Patagonia (Argentina), with comments on the evolution of the genus
This poster presents a probabilistic reconstruction of the Evolutiva de Vertebrados using X-ray diffraction analysis, which reveals changes in the structure of the deposit over time as well as the distribution of Carboniferous strata.
Exceptional avian pellet from the Paleocene of Patagonia and description of its content: a new species of calyptocephalellid (Neobatrachia) anuran
A fossil gastric pellet from the Danian ‘Banco Negro Inferior’ of the Salamanca Formation at Punta Peligro Locality (Chubut, Argentina) and its 3D preserved fossil content is studied, representing a new species of the genus Calyptocephalella.
