This review summarises selected aspects of the pharmacokinetics (PK) and pharmacodynamics (PD) of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) which are important to an understanding of PK- PD integration and PK-PD modelling (the subject of the next review in this issue).
Pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of danofloxacin in serum and tissue fluids of goats following intravenous and intramuscular administration.
Integration of danofloxacin pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic data obtained in goats may provide a new approach on which to base recommendations for therapeutic dosages.

The in vitro and ex vivo activities of danofloxacin in serum, exudate, and transudate against a pathogenic strain of Mannheimia haemolytica and it is proposed that use of these data might provide a novel approach to the rational design of dosage schedules.

Ex vivo studies demonstrated a concentration-dependent killing profile for marbofloxacin against M. haemolytica, and these data may be used as a rational basis for setting dosing schedules which optimize clinical efficacy and minimize the opportunities for emergence of resistant organisms.
