Carers of both children and adults with intellectual disability had significantly greater levels of a wish fulfilment coping style, defeat/entrapment, anxiety, and depression, and positive correlations were found between objective stress scores and all mental health outcomes.

High and low parental involvement in CBT for OCD in young people were both effective, and there was no evidence that 1 method of delivery was superior on the primary outcome measure, however, this study was small.

New guidelines for the care and treatment of people with IDs during the COVID‐19 pandemic are presented and it is proposed that the included conditions recommended by Public Health England to categorize someone as high risk of severe illness due to CO VID‐19 should also include mental health and challenging behavior.
