Both PRF and PRF + Collaplug are comparable to each other in preserving the bone height, bone density, and also similar soft tissue healing; however PRF+Collaplug is better than PRF alone in preserves the bone width 4th month postoperatively, indicating that the resorbable Colla Plug does play an additional role in preserve the socket width.

The presence of erupted mandibular third molar increases the chances of angle fracture when compared to impacted M3, and involvement of the M3 socket often resulted in increased operative time and complexity of the surgical procedure with possible removal of the damaged M3.
