ED physicians must be aware of the different pathophysiologic pathways that lead to angioedema in order to efficiently and effectively manage these potentially fatal conditions.
The epidemiology of domestic injurious falls in a community dwelling elderly population: an outgrowing economic burden.
The aim of the study was to evaluate the epidemiology of injurious falls in a community dwelling population, admitted to the emergency room because of a domestic injury, to assess the socioeconomic burden.
Rigid Gels and Enzyme Cleaning
- P. Cremonesi

Hydrolytic enzymes and polysaccharide- based rigid gels represent two very helpful cleaning tools for a variety of polychrome artworks: moveable paintings, wooden polychrome sculp- tures, paper and…
A preliminary note on the use of enzymes in conservation: the removal of aged acrylic resin coatings with lipase
AbstractLipases, hydrolytic enzymes that act on glycerol-ester bonds, are often used in conservation for their ability to degrade aged oil films, as a non-toxic and often less aggressive alternative…
Synthesis and Identification of Benzo(a)pyrene-Guanine Nucleoside Adducts Formed by Electrochemical Oxidation and by Horseradish Peroxidase Catalyzed Reaction of Benzo(a)pyrene with DNA.
Gel rigidi di Agar per il trattamento di pulitura di manufatti in gesso = Use of Rigid Agar Gels for Cleaning Plaster Objects
Synthesis and identification of benzo[a]pyrene-guanine nucleoside adducts formed by electrochemical oxidation and by horseradish peroxidase catalyzed reaction of benzo[a]pyrene with DNA
Guidance for diagnosis and treatment of acute angioedema in the emergency department: consensus statement by a panel of Italian experts
Angioedema attacks, characterized by the transient swelling of the skin and mucosae, are a frequent cause of visits to the emergency department. Swellings of the oral cavity, tongue, or larynx can…

This study is a first attempt to proceed in the direction of a precise definition of the costs inherent to the emergency department activity of an Italian primary Hospital.
Binding of benzo[a]pyrene to DNA by cytochrome P-450 catalyzed one-electron oxidation in rat liver microsomes and nuclei.
This study represents the first demonstration of cytochrome P-450 mediating covalent binding of substrates to DNA via one-electron oxidation and suggests that this enzyme can catalyze peroxidase-type electron-transfer reactions.
