EFNS guideline on the management of status epilepticus in adults
The objective of the current article was to review the literature and discuss the degree of evidence for various treatment strategies for status epilepticus (SE) in adults and reach recommendations based on this literature and on judgement of the relevance of the references to the subject.
The genetics and neuropathology of frontotemporal lobar degeneration
The current state of the rapidly progressing field of genetic, neuropathological and clinical research of Frontotemporal lobar degeneration is summarized.
Deep Brain Stimulation in Patients with Refractory Temporal Lobe Epilepsy
This pilot study prospectively evaluated the efficacy of long‐term deep brain stimulation in medial temporal lobe (MTL) structures in patients with MTL epilepsy.

The feasibility of consecutive electroencephalographic recordings and DBS in medial temporal lobe structures using DBS electrodes is demonstrated and prompts further studies in a larger patient population to establish the efficacy and safety of chronic DBS as an alternative treatment for refractory temporal lobe epilepsy.
Functional brain connectivity from EEG in epilepsy: Seizure prediction and epileptogenic focus localization
Dynamics of epileptic phenomena determined from statistics of ictal transitions

The analysis showed that in certain cases, the transitions between ictal and interictal states can be modeled by a Poisson process operating in a bistable network.
Valproate in the treatment of epilepsy in girls and women of childbearing potential
This document provides guidance on the use of valproate in girls and women of childbearing age from a joint Task Force of the Commission on European Affairs and the International League Against Epilepsy, following strengthened warnings from the Coordination Group for Mutual Recognition and Decentralised Procedures‐Human.
Vagus nerve stimulation…25 years later! What do we know about the effects on cognition?
MRI language dominance assessment in epilepsy patients at 1.0 T: region of interest analysis and comparison with intracarotid amytal testing
This study illustrates that fMRI-determined language lateralization can be performed reliably in a clinical MR setting operating at a low field strength of 1 T without expensive stimulus presentation systems.
