Inhibition of human tumor cell growth in vivo by an orally bioavailable inhibitor of CDC25 phosphatases
- Marie-Christine Brézak, M. Quaranta, B. Ducommun
- BiologyMolecular Cancer Therapeutics
- 1 September 2005
BN82685 is a promising new compound targeting CDC25, which confirms the interest of the inhibition of these enzymes as an anticancer therapeutic strategy.
Study of the potential spermatogonial stem cell compartment in dogfish testis, Scyliorhinus canicula L.
- Géraldine Loppion, A. Crespel, Anne-Sophie Martinez, P. Auvray, P. Sourdaine
- BiologyCell and Tissue Research
- 14 March 2008
The presence of a spectrosome-like structure, a cytological marker of the germline stem cells in Drosophila, has been observed and this results constitute the first step in the study of spermatogonial stem cells and their niche in the dogfish.
The Making of “Transgenic Spermatozoa”1
- C. Célébi, T. Guillaudeux, P. Auvray, V. Vallet-Erdtmann, B. Jégou
- BiologyBiology of reproduction
- 1 May 2003
The different aspects of sperm-mediated transgenesis are presented and the advantage of being able to create transgenic progeny simply by mating with wild-type females, which avoids the possibility of interference or damage as a result of assisted fertilization or the manipulation of embryos.
IRC-083927 is a new tubulin binder that inhibits growth of human tumor cells resistant to standard tubulin-binding agents
The antitumor effects induced by IRC-083927 on tumor models resistant to tubulin agents support further investigations to fully evaluate its potential for the treatment of advanced cancers, particularly those resistant to current clinically available drugs.
Transient transmission of a transgene in mouse offspring following in vivo transfection of male germ cells
- C. Célébi, P. Auvray, T. Benvegnu, D. Plusquellec, B. Jégou, T. Guillaudeux
- BiologyMolecular reproduction and development
- 1 August 2002
It was shown that the transgene was transmitted to the offspring but remained episomal, as it was found in the tail of the young animals but not at adulthood, therefore, the plasmid seemed to be lost during the numerous germ cells divisions.
Induction of Amyloid-β42 Production by Fipronil and Other Pyrazole Insecticides.
Several widely used pyrazole insecticides enhance the production of toxic, aggregation prone Aβ42/Aβ43 peptides, suggesting the possible existence of environmental "Alzheimerogens" which may contribute to the initiation and propagation of the amyloidogenic process in sporadic AD.
Study of substrate specificity of human aromatase by site directed mutagenesis.
- P. Auvray, C. Nativelle, R. Bureau, P. Dallemagne, G. Séralini, P. Sourdaine
- Biology, ChemistryEuropean journal of biochemistry
- 1 March 2002
The flexibility of the substrate-enzyme complex conformation is highlighted, and thus sheds new light on residues that may be responsible for substrate specificity between species or aromatase isoforms.
Preparation and Characterization of Stealth Archaeosomes Based on a Synthetic PEGylated Archaeal Tetraether Lipid
- J. Barbeau, S. Cammas-Marion, P. Auvray, T. Benvegnu
- Biology, ChemistryJournal of drug delivery
- 21 March 2011
The present studies were focused on the formation and characterization of sterically stabilized archaeosomes made from a synthetic PEGylated archaeal lipid, which is significantly higher at 37°C than the one of Egg-PC/PEG45-DSPE-based liposomes, as evidenced by the slower release of the dye encapsulated into PEGyfluorescein.
Human caspase 7 is positively controlled by SREBP-1 and SREBP-2.
The results show that caspase 7, as an SREBP-1/2 target, can be induced under mevalonate-restricting conditions, which might help overcome its shortage.
An Overview of In Vivo and In Vitro Models for Autosomal Dominant Polycystic Kidney Disease: A Journey from 3D-Cysts to Mini-Pigs
- Svenja Koslowski, C. Latapy, P. Auvray, M. Blondel, L. Meijer
- Biology, MedicineInternational Journal of Molecular Sciences
- 1 June 2020
The aim of this review is to give an overview of the main tools currently available to ADPKD researchers, as well as their main advantages and limitations.
