Phylogenetics can be described as finding a tree-like structure that defines certain ancestral relationships among a related set of attributes. Construction of phylogenetic trees (Weir, 1996) is one of the most important problems in evolutionary theory. The basic principle of tree reconstruction is to infer the evolutionary process of taxa (biological… (More)
In this paper we'll show the main points where we usually find revenue leakage in Telecom companies and the actions that may be taken in order to avoid this kind of loss. We'll also identify, within the " revenue cycle " , the most appropriate points to be monitored by the existing Verifying and Controlling Systems. Another objective of this paper is to… (More)
This paper presents the main steps to reconstruct phylogenetic trees using an evolutionary algorithm with a wide range of alternative computational procedures for fitness evaluation and for tuning the search engine. Due to the fine equilibrium between exploration and exploitation of the search space, high-quality reconstructions are obtained among an… (More)
This paper presents all the steps to reconstruct phylogenetic trees using an evolutionary algorithm. The fitness criterion is based on maximum likelihood and a toolbox is available. The codification, genetic operators and the optimization procedures involved are clearly described to guarantee reproducibility.
