This paper reports the first Mesozoic evidence of a mantophasmatodean from the Middle Jurassic of Daohugou, Inner Mongolia, China, and shares apomorphic characters with Cenozoic and recent MantophasMatodea, suggesting a longer evolutionary history of this order.
