Fungal diversity notes 111–252—taxonomic and phylogenetic contributions to fungal taxa
This paper is a compilation of notes on 142 fungal taxa, including five new families, 20 new genera, and 100 new species, representing a wide taxonomic and geographic range. The new families,
Obba and Sebipora, new polypore genera related to Cinereomyces and Gelatoporia (Polyporales, Basidiomycota)
Two new genera are described in the Cinereomyces clade: Obba to incorporate C. rivulosa and a new austral species, Obba valdiviana, known from southern Argentina and recorded here also from Tasmania, and Sebipora to accommodate a new species from tropical Asia, S. aquosa.
A phylogenetic overview of the antrodia clade (Basidiomycota, Polyporales)
A phylogenetic overview of the five main groups recovered: the fibroporia, laetiporus, postia, laricifomes and core antrodia groups is presented, able to identify a number of well supported clades within the main groups.
Consequences of forest fragmentation for polyporous fungi at two spatial scales
The results show that the species number, incidence of occurrence, and abundance of especially the rare, threatened, and near-threatened species are much lower in the old-growth fragments in Hame in southern Finland in comparison with Kuhmo in eastern Finland, most probably because of the longer history of intensive forestry in Hames.
Comprehensive taxon sampling reveals unaccounted diversity and morphological plasticity in a group of dimitic polypores (Polyporales, Basidiomycota)
The phylogeny of the poroid and hydnoid genera Antrodiella, Junghuhnia, and Steccherinum was studied utilizing sequences of the gene regions ITS, nLSU, mtSSU, atp6, rpb2, and tef1 to show that most species of these genera form a well supported clade in the Polyporales.
Polypores and genus concepts in Phanerochaetaceae (Polyporales, Basidiomycota)
We explored whether DNA-phylogeny-based and morphology-based genus concepts can be reconciled in the basidiomycete family Phanerochaetaceae. Our results show that macromorphology of fruiting bodies
Northern Antrodiella species: the identity of A. semisupina, and type studies of related taxa
Type collections of Antrodiella (Basidiomycota, polypores) from Europe, North America and Siberia were studied and the identity of A. romellii was clarified and an epitype was selected to supplement its poor-quality holotype.
Sidera, a new genus in Hymenochaetales with poroid and hydnoid species
A new genus, Sidera (Hymenochaetales), is described to accommodate the dimitic polypores Skeletocutis lenis and S. vulgaris, the monomitic polypore Ceriporiopsis lowei, and the monomitic, hydnoid
