Endophytic and pathogenic Phyllosticta species, with reference to those associated with Citrus Black Spot
DNA sequence analysis of the nrDNA internal transcribed spacer region and partial translation elongation factor 1-alpha (TEF1), actin and glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase (GPDH) genes resolved nine clades correlating to seven known, and two apparently undescribed species, suggesting that endophytic, non-pathogenic isolate occurring on a wide host range would be more correctly referred to as P. capitalensis. Phylogeny, identification and pathogenicity of the Botryosphaeriaceae associated with collar and root rot of the biofuel plant Jatropha curcas in Brazil, with a description of new species of
The results show that root rot of physic nut plants is caused by complex pathogens and provides new information for future studies of disease management, quarantine programs and, especially, the development of resistant varieties for collar and root rot disease in J. curcas. Expand

Tradescantia fluminensis, an exotic weed affecting native forest regeneration in New Zealand: Ecological surveys, safety tests and releases of four biocontrol agents from Brazil
Abstract In the native range of Tradescantia fluminensis in SE Brazil surveys revealed a natural enemy biota attacking the plant that was rich in potential biocontrol agents for New Zealand (NZ),Expand
Towards a phylogenetic reappraisal of Parmulariaceae and Asterinaceae (Dothideomycetes)
An LSU rDNA phylogenetic analysis was performed indicating the correct phylogenetic placement of the Asterinales within the Dothideomycetes, and it is clear that the Parmulariaceae as currently circumscribed is polyphyletic, and that the Asterinaceae and ParmULARiaceae are related, which justifies the maintenance of the order Asterinale.
