It is indicated that p16 expression is the most reliable prognostic marker for OSCC and further might be a surrogate marker for HPV‐positive OSCC.

It is necessary to select patients suitable for surgery for recurrent parotid pleomorphic adenoma based on prior history and once they provide informed consent for surgery, the likelihood of successful surgery is low.

A high incidence of lymph node metastasis from major salivary gland cancers is found and neck dissections should be considered as an integral part of the surgical approach in patients with major salive gland cancer, especially if no postoperative radiation therapy is planned.
