The Parasite Fauna of the Gobiid Fish (Actinopterygii, Gobiidae) in the Sukhyi Lyman, Black Sea
Seventeen species of parasites are registered in the gobiids in the Sukhyi Lyman, Black Sea, with the marine tubenose goby Proterorhinus marmoratus having the richest parasite fauna, and the grass goby Zosterisessor ophiocephalus has the fewest number of parasite species. Expand
Trichodinids (Ciliophora, Peritrichia) Of Perccottus Glenii (Actinopterygii, Odontobutidae) In Three Ukrainian Rivers
For the first time for Chinese slipper, T. perforata and T. intermedia were recorded and Morphometric data of all found species were compared with those from previous descriptions. Expand
The parasites of the invasive Chinese sleeper Perccottus glenii (Fam. Odontobutidae), with the first report of Nippotaenia mogurndae in Ukraine
The low similarity among the different localities and the low parasite richness, that suggest that the parasite fauna of the Chinese sleeper in Ukraine is in transition, are noted. Expand
Study of Loma acerinae (Microsporidia) detected from three Ponto-Caspian gobies (Gobiidae) in Ukraine
SSU 16S rRNA sequence analysis, blast searches, and ultrastuctural data revealed similarity of all studied microsporidians with Loma acerinae (Jirovec, 1930). Expand
Parasitization of monkey goby, Neogobius fluviatilis (Pallas, 1814) (Actinopterygii: Gobiidae), at localities with different salinity levels
It is indicated that freshwater populations of monkey goby host richer and more abundant parasite communities than those inhabiting brackish waters with (more or less) stable salinity. Expand
