The results led to the proposal that GmIF7GT utilizes a strategy of catalysis that is distinct from those proposed for UGT71G1 and VvGT1, and suggest that an acidic residue at position 392 is very important for primary catalysis of Gmif7GT.

The Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) rice line, which has a construct similar to the GM Shanyou 63 line, was detected in some vermicelli products by identification of the junction region sequence between rice Act1 promoter and the Cry1Ac gene.

This is the first report showing biochemical evidence for DOD activity in vitro showing the formation of betalamic acid from DOPA under suitable assay conditions using recombinant MjDOD produced by Escherichia coli.
