To determine a possible role of peripheral blood monocytes in erythroid differentiation, various fractions of peripheral blood mononuclear cells were prepared from normal volunteers. The authors report three cases in which clonazepam controlled the acute symptoms in one manic and two schizoaffective patients. Clonazepam treatment led to a decrease in agitation and logorrhea, without the side effects associated with neuroleptics.
This report examines psychotic symptoms in children of Holocaust survivors. The authors present two cases that show how the manifestations of schizophrenia were influenced by the Holocaust. The cases show how the effects of one generation's trauma are seen in the symptoms and behavior of the next.
