A simple, sensitive, selective and reliable HPLC method based on ultrasonic extraction and evaporative light scattering detection (ELSD) has been developed and validated for the simultaneous determination of important sugars and picrosides in two species Picrorhiza kurroa and P. scrophulariiflora.
