The adult male of Diastylis geocostae is described for the first time, the adult female briefly redescribed, and its distribution, up to now known from the type locality only (Cabo Frio, Rio de Janeiro State), is extended to off Rawson, Argentina.

The maxilliped of the adult female of Homoeoscelis minuta is reillustrated, and the copepodite stage of H. frigida is briefly redescribed on the basis of their respective type materials.

A redescription of a common euryhaline cumacean from southern Brazil: Diastylis sympterygiae Băcescu & Queiroz, 1985 (Crustacea: Cumacea)
Based on a large number of well-preserved specimens now available from the type locality area, the description of this common euryhaline species is completed and its range of distribution as far north as Sao Paulo is extended.
