The usefulness of mucin‐depleted foci (MDF) was histologically investigated in rat colonic tissues treated with 1,2‐dimethylhydrazine dihydrochloride (DMH) and it was suggested that MDF may be useful as an early biomarker in colon carcinogenesis.
