Carriage of Methicillin‐Resistant Staphylococcus pseudintermedius in Small Animal Veterinarians: Indirect Evidence of Zoonotic Transmission
The 3.9% MRSP carriage rate found among small animal dermatologists was surprising in consideration of the rare occurrence of S. pseudintermedius in humans, the lack of MSSP detection and the recent appearance of MRSP in Europe.
Biocontrol Activity of Bacillus amyloliquefaciens CNU114001 against Fungal Plant Diseases
The isolate CNU114001 showed broad spectrum activity against 12 phytopathogenic fungi by dual culture method, and crude antifungal substance showed antagonistic activity against cucumber scleotiorum rot in laboratory, and showed antagonism activity against tomato gray mold, cucumber, and pumpkin powdery mildew in greenhouse condition.
Fungal Endophytes in Roots of Aralia Species and Their Antifungal Activity
The presence of endophytes within plant tissues may confer certain advantages to the host plant (Carroll, 1991) and the enhancing of the host survival againstfungal pathogens in plant-endophyte associations is demonstrated.
Six Species of Penicillium Associated with Blue Mold of Grape
Grape fruits with blue mold symptoms were collected from house storages in different locations in Korea and were investigated for their association with Penicillium species and β-tublin gene sequence data analysis identified them as P. bialowiezense and P. echinulatum, newly recorded in Korea.

Two fungal isolates from surface sterilized tissues and fruits of the medicinal plant were identified as Colletotrichum fructicola and C. brevisporum, respectively, which are represented unrecorded species in Korea.
Population dynamics and antimicrobial resistance of the most prevalent poultry-associated Salmonella serotypes.
Salmonella spp. is the most predominant bacterial cause of foodborne gastroenteritis in humans. Due to the risk of human infection associated with poultry products and the prevalence of antimicrobial
Distribution and Antifungal Activity of Endophytic Fungi in Different Growth Stages of Chili Pepper (Capsicum annuum L.) in Korea
Three strains showed a broad spectrum antifungal activity and displayed strong inhibition against chili pepper pathogenic fungi.
Stemphylium platycodontis sp. nov., isolated from Platycodon grandiflorus in Korea
A new species of Stemphylium causing leaf and flower blight of Platycodon grandiflorus in Korea was determined on the basis of phylogenetic analysis and morphology and the fungus morphologically differs from them by producing larger conidia and no brown pigment secreted on potato dextrose agar.
