This study aimed to determine lipid profiles and atherogenic index of hyperlipidemic Wistar rats (R. norvegicus Berkenhout, 1769) which given the methanolic extract of Parijoto (M. speciosa) can improve thehyperlipidemia condition.

The protein profiles of blood plasma from alloxan-induced diabetic rats has investigated using Sodium Dodecyl Sulphate Polyacrylamide Gel Electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE) and there were identified the similarity of protein variant between diabetic and control rats, but the apelin profile at diabetic rats shows the higher intensity than control.

Antihyperlipidemic and anti-obesity effects of the methanolic extract of parijoto (Medinilla speciosa)
Results showed that giving of methanolic extract of parijoto (M. speciosa) in hyperlipidemic rats reduced the triglycerides levels significantly and the increase of body weight until 34 % and the adipose tissue in the peritoneum of hyperlipIDemic rats.
Histological structure of striped catfish (Pangasius Hypophthalmus) skin from different body size (age) and its relation to the quality of gelatin based on the melting point
The histological structure of the striped catfish skin at different body sizes was compared to determine its relationship with the quality of its gelatin product based on melting point and showed that the connective tissue in the skin of larger fish contained thicker stratum compactum and thinner of stratum spongiosum.

The results showed there were four pelagic fish species which dominated by Katsuwonus pelamis or skipjack tuna and Thunnus albacares or yellowfin tuna and a small amount of Coryphaena hippurus and Makaira mazara.
