- Geography, BiologyOrganisms Diversity & Evolution
- 1 March 2013
The best estimate of the age of Cichorieae and its subtribes is provided based on available fossil evidence and DNA sequences and to interpret their biogeography in the light of Earth history.
Molecular Phylogeny of the Lactuca Alliance (Cichorieae Subtribe Lactucinae, Asteraceae) with Focus on Their Chinese Centre of Diversity Detects Potential Events of Reticulation and Chloroplast…
- Ze-Huan Wang, Hua Peng, N. Kilian
- BiologyPLoS ONE
- 20 December 2013
An improved species level taxonomy of the Chinese Lactucinae is outlined; new synonymies and some new combinations are provided and it is concluded that the major lineages revealed are best treated at generic rank.

Eritreo-Arabian Affinities of the Socotran Flora as Revealed from the Molecular Phylogeny of Aerva (Amaranthaceae)
The data point towards colonization via dispersal, rather than a vicariance origin of the island elements, and the overall biogeographic patterns of Aerva show only limited concordance with other taxonomic groups distributed on Indian Ocean islands.
Scorzonera karabelensis (Compositae,) a new species from SW Anatolia, with a key to the subscapigerous Scorzonera species in Turkey

- Biology
- 22 December 2003
A key to all facultatively or consistently subscapigerous, entire-leaved Scorzonera species growing in the mountains of Turkey is provided.

Scorzonera sensu lato (Asteraceae, Cichorieae) – taxonomic reassessment in the light of new molecular phylogenetic and carpological analyses
- M. A. Zaika, N. Kilian, A. P. Sukhorukov
- BiologyPhytoKeys
- 8 January 2020
A comprehensive sampling is presented, for the first time, including Scorzonera in its widest sense and all other genera recognised in the Scorzonerinae, and a revised classification of the subtribe is proposed, accepting the genera Scorzoneera and other related genera.
