Selagineae and Manuleeae, two tribes or one? Phylogenetic studies in the Scrophulariaceae
- P. Kornhall, N. Heidari, B. Bremer
- BiologyPlant Systematics and Evolution
- 1 October 2001
The results from a cladistic analysis of molecular characters using parsimony and Bayesian inference indicate that the typical Selagineae condition with one ovule per ovary locule has arisen several times within the Manuleeae.
The SOPHIE search for northern extrasolar planets. XVII. A wealth of new objects: Six cool Jupiters, three brown dwarfs, and 16 low-mass binary stars
Distinguishing classes within substellar objects and understanding their formation and evolution need larger samples of substellar companions such as exoplanets, brown dwarfs, and low-mass stars. In…
The SOPHIE search for northern extrasolar planets. XVIII: Six new cold Jupiters, including one of the most eccentric exoplanet orbits
- O. Demangeon, S. Dalal, S. Udry
- Geology, Physics
- 11 July 2021
Context. Due to their low transit probability, the long-period planets are, as a population, only partially probed by transit surveys. Radial velocity surveys thus have a key role to play, in…
A new species of Carinatogecko (Sauria: Gekkonidae) from Ilam Province, western Iran
- B. Fathinia, R. Karamiani, H. Darvishnia, N. Heidari, N. Rastegar-Pouyani
- Biology
- 2011
—A new keel-scaled gecko, Carinatogecko ilamensis sp. nov. (Squamata: Gekkonidae), is described from the western foothills of the Zagros Mountains in the Zarinabad region, Dehloran Township, Ilam…
TOI-1296b and TOI-1298b observed with TESS and SOPHIE: Two hot Saturn-mass exoplanets with different densities around metal-rich stars
- C. Moutou, J. Almenara, C. Ziegler
- Physics, Geology
- 14 July 2021
We present the discovery of two new transiting extrasolar planet candidates identified as TOI-1296.01 and TOI-1298.01 by the Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS). The planetary nature of…
LIZARDS OF THE GANDO PROTECTED AREA IN SISTAN AND BALUCHESTAN PROVINCE, SOUTHEASTERN IRAN
- N. Heidari, H. Kami
- Biology
- 2009
Observations on the natural history of lizards in the Gando Protected Area, within the Sistan and Baluchestan Province, Iran are reported, with the first record of Mesalina brevirostris in southeastern Iran.
A warm super-Neptune around the G-dwarf star TOI-1710 revealed with TESS, SOPHIE, and HARPS-N
- P. Konig, M. Damasso, J. Wittrock
- Physics, GeologyAstronomy & Astrophysics
- 19 April 2022
We report the discovery and characterization of the transiting extrasolar planet TOI-1710 b. It was first identified as a promising candidate by the Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite ( TESS ).…
The EBLM project – VIII. First results for M-dwarf mass, radius, and effective temperature measurements using CHEOPS light curves
- M. Swayne, P. Maxted, E. Willett
- Physics, GeologyMonthly notices of the Royal Astronomical Society
- 12 June 2021
The accuracy of theoretical mass, radius, and effective temperature values for M-dwarf stars is an active topic of debate. Differences between observed and theoretical values have raised the…
HD207897 b: A dense sub-Neptune transiting a nearby and bright K-type star
- N. Heidari, I. Boisse, L. Weiss
- Geology, PhysicsAstronomy & Astrophysics
- 16 October 2021
We present the discovery and characterization of a transiting sub-Neptune that orbits the nearby (28 pc) and bright (V = 8.37) (TOI-1611) with a 16.20-day period. This discovery is based on…
The EBLM project – IX. Five fully convective M-dwarfs, precisely measured with CHEOPS and TESS light curves
- D. Sebastian, M. Swayne, N. Walton
- Physics, GeologyMonthly notices of the Royal Astronomical Society
- 7 September 2022
Eclipsing binaries are important benchmark objects to test and calibrate stellar structure and evolution models. This is especially true for binaries with a fully convective M-dwarf component for…
