The review presents the analysis of the somatic pathology met most often in patients of elderly and senile age. The authors conclude that understanding of features of the somatic pathology in people of elderly and senile age is integral part of knowledge of any doctor, especially the doctor in geriatrics.
The review presents the characteristic of the leading chronic diseases proceeding simultaneously in patients of elderly and senile age which mutually burden each other and complicate both their diagnosing, and treatment. The problem of comorbidity and multimorbidity in geriatrics is the most actual and required today.
