BSIM compact models have served industry for more than a decade starting with BSIM3 and later BSIM4 and BSIMSOI. Here we will briefly discuss the ongoing work on current and future device models in BSIM group. BSIM6 is the next generation bulk RF MOSFET Model which uses charge based core with physical models adapted from BSIM4. Model fulfills all symmetry… (More)

A solid-block stationary Fourier-transform spectrometer (SBSFTS) is described that is applicable to a wide range of portable, moderate-resolution instrumentation needs that include the detection of temporally variant signatures. The SBSFTS is a low-cost, extremely rugged stationary Fourier-transform spectrometer based on the combination of three standard… (More)

Joint-transform correlation architecture is employed for digital matrix multiplication. Real-valued matrix-vector, complex-valued matrix-vector, real-valued matrix-matrix, and complex-valued matrix-matrix multiplication operations can all be realized simply by programming of the data arrangement in the input plane of a multiple-input joint-transform… (More)

A method for calculating the modulation transfer function (MTF) of charge-coupled devices (CCD) is presented. The analysis accommodates both the time- and space-variant properties of CCDs as well as input images moving with constant velocity within a scan interval. The model developed accounts for both the static and the dynamic MTF of CCD imaging systems.

A uniform-intensity circular light source has been realized from a Gaussian laser beam by using an area-modulated binary filter. The technique preserves the wave front, and as a result the uniform circular source can be located at a plane perpendicular to the axis of propagation over a wide area.

With phase-shifting joint transform correlation (PSJTC) one uses multiple phase shifts to recover the phase difference between Fourier transforms of the input and the reference. In PSJTC systems the resulting phase-only function is used instead of the joint transform power spectrum (JTPS). Provided it can be recorded linearly, the JTPS reduces to a… (More)

The advantage of using a diffraction-free light beam in heterodyne detection is investigated. Optimum values of tilt and offset of the incoming signal beam for attaining the maximum heterodyne mixing efficiency are identified.

Rotation-invariant target detection using a trained filter-feature-based joint Fourier transform (JFT) correlator is investigated. First, a composite reference image is obtained from a training set of targets. An optimum filter formulation is then applied on this composite image to come up with a new feature that we refer to as a filter feature. This… (More)

A 2 × 2 bit multiplier is designed by the use of a butterfly interconnection network. The butterfly topology is also used to design a sequential flip-flop and a multibit parallel-in parallel-out shift register.

We propose a new technique to improve the performance of the joint transform correlator (JTC). In this technique we have applied the phase-iterative algorithm to a phase-shifting JTC (PSJTC). By doing so, we restrain the noise that is contained in the recovered phase of the joint transform power spectra for the input images with background and additive… (More)
