Information on notified tuberculosis cases collected by the Algerian Ministry of Health and Social Affairs (Ministère de la Santé et des Affaires Sociales Algérien) from 1982-1990 show that 13,916 cases were notified in 1982 and 10,864 in 1990, of which 67%-71% were cases of pulmonary tuberculosis (TP) and 25-29% cases of extrapulmonary tuberculosis (TEP).(More)
